Competition – Prime Tower Zurich [September 2011]
The 126m high "Prime Tower" is about to become the new signature building in the skyline of Zurich.
The design concept of bert haller innenarchitekten for
the gastronomy and conferences on the highest floors shows an exclusive lifestyle and stands for a unique and
modern way of life.
We designed a flexible structure that allows to combine and separate spaces in different ways in order to apply
to different functions, events and temporary needs of this extraordinary restaurant with its outstanding
view.
Participance at the project
100 tabs 100 years "Liquid Architecture" [August 2011]
In co-operation with one of the leading fitting manufacturers the AIT magazine asked leading architects and
interior architects to sketch their visions of a tab. We participated with two different designs which were
exhibited at the "Architektursalon" in Cologne on July the 14th.
The concept of "Raindrops" is focusing on the
emotional aspects of water. Pipes with different diameters are suspended from the ceiling in a way that they
build a sculptural like structure. A sensor is detecting movements under the pipes and activates the water flow
which starts dripping and running like a warm summer rain.
"Spring" is celebrating the character of water movement. The wall displays just a fine slot through which water
can run, flow and gush. Water pressure and temperature can be regulated by sensors which are invisible
integrated in the wall panel.
All good things come in threes -
"Swiss Chalet" Zurich airport [July 2011]
As part of the development measures at Zurich airport the new restaurant "Swiss Chalet" will be setting new
standards at the Airside Center.
Without
exploiting prevalent clichés, the aim was to implement genuine swissness into the airport - a new
interpretation of the archetype of a Swiss chalet. As a model for our design concept we took the image of a
tunnel constructed by a giant auger and transformed it into space for our new restaurant.
"Swiss Chalet" is the third project designed by bert haller interior architects at Zurich airport.
Nomination for INsider Award 2011 [24.06. - 26.06.2011]

takespace – wellness at Fraunhofer Institute [May 2011]
"takespace" is a refuge which promises a release of tension and regeneration in just 20
minutes. A composition of ionised and scented air, a relaxing shiatsu massage, moodlighting and gentle music is
treating the visitor with a perfectly balanced amount of relaxation.
The German firm "Mediwell Product Innovation" from Übach-Palenberg is behind the project. They designed a
prototype in close co-operation with bert haller interior architects. After years of development, takespace is
now ready to be launched on the market. Since April 2011 it can be experienced at the "Fraunhofer Institute
InHaus Center" in Duisburg, Germany.
The "Fraunhofer InHaus Center" is a national and international established innovation centre primarily
concerned with systematic solutions for buildings and interior spaces. Within the centre the Fraunhofer
Institute exhibits a wide range of research and development activities for the residential and commercial
sector.
Product test Grohe Red tab [February 2011]

tab.

The "Rolls-Royce" among the motor yachts is getting a new showroom
Riva showroom Ascona [July 2010]
A new by Bert Haller Innenarchitekten transposed project was accomplished in Ascona, Switzerland.
As the luxury designed motorboats
have been a symbol for outstanding quality since the nineteen fifties it was a challenge to provide a
functional and aesthetically ambitious designed space.
Referring to the classic Riva-design the material and design concept is emphasising the elegant and
characteristic appearance by combining regional materials from Ticino such as natural stone, with the typical
Riva components.

"fashioncafébar" New design concept
in the international airport - Zürich [July 2010]
Getting attention creating refuge being modern and timeless at the same time; these have been issues of the
given task.
"Fashion" not only being a title but being the theme at the same time. As the
topic fashion is dealing with key words like "zeitgeist", convention, habit, change, trend, contrast and
especially light and shadow, our design concept is using these contradictions and contrasts as a translation
into space.
The famous Swiss cheese as a model we are designing a new gastronomy for the airport Zürich.

1st Place in the "Clouds" competition
Restaurant, Café-Winebar at Zurich Airport [July 2009]
Flying is the feeling of freedom, to be gliding weightlessly far above everything. Flying is to experience the
height and width of a whole new perspective, and has been man's dream since time immemorial. The new restaurant
has the appearance of floating over the existing architecture, breathing new life into the Airport's shopping
centre. The large-scale gestures and the giant symbol of a dynamic freeform, which brings to mind the wing of
an aircraft, unite and form the new restaurant "Clouds" as a space. Already from a distance, the traveller is
made aware of the new restaurant concept and is lured in by curiosity. With this conceptual approach, Bert
Haller Interior Architects developed a design which convinced the Jury, by combining a local connection with
cosmopolitan hospitality.

seven asia - Exotic Showpiece of the seven Ensemble in Ascona [May 2009]
A variety of different zones united in a restaurant, this is the basic principle which defines
the seven ensemble on Lake Maggiore, created by Bert Haller Interior Architects. The zones reflect and contrast
the rich variety of Asian cuisine on offer. A Sushi-bar is located at the front of the restaurant area and is
directly behind a revealing, ceiling to floor glass façade. The plates, on which the dishes are served, are
transported to the guest by means of an invisible magnetic mechanism, as if by a ghostly hand, via the glass
conveyer belt.
The creative concept of Seven Asia is emphasised through the modern interpretation of classical Asian elements,
such as a sea of paper lanterns on the ceiling, Japanese goldfish or the large Wuhan Gong which is rung on
special occasions.

Waldorf=Astoria Hotel, Berlin [February 2009]
In 2011 the new Waldorf=Astoria Hotel Berlin will be opening doors to begin a new era in one of the most
wanted spots of the capital.
In the course of the competition "Zoofenster" bert haller innenarchitekten impressed the international jury,
consisting of representatives of the owners and the Hilton Hotels Corporation, with a high quality design
concept. In teamwork with Prof. Mäckler Architekten, responsible for the architectural plan of the prestigious
building project located at the Berliner Tiergarten, we received the mandate for the interior design of the 31
storey high five-star luxury hotel.
Major themes in the design concept are the many fascinating aspects of Berlin as an exciting, pulsating and
contemporary city with historical background. These elements are translated into a choice of high-quality,
sensual and modern materials.
Urban style, combined with traditional motive represents the abstraction of cultural and site-specific aspects
and values and reflects the imposing magic of an inspiring experience between lifestyle, business,
regeneration, cultural prosperity and personal satisfaction.
To meet the high standard of the luxury brand the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel Berlin receives its own extravagant
design concept convincing with sophisticated contemporary elegance considering the flagsip hotel in New
York.

Bert Haller "on air" [September 2008]
In the Sunday features programme "SWR2 Matinee" broadcast on 07.09.2008, Bert Haller discussed the use of
the colour 'lilac' in interior design with presenter Evi Seibert. A tour through Bert Haller Interior Architect
planned Radisson SAS Hotel in Cologne, included an on-site visit to the Wellness Room "takespace" as well as
some of their other projects which are "bathed in lilac light'.
Wellness with "takespace" [August 2008]
"takespace" promises relaxation and regeneration for all the senses in just 20 minutes. The German firm
Mediwell Product Innovation from Übach-Palenberg is behind the project, and developed a prototype in close
cooperation with Bert Haller Interior Architects. Visitors to the deep red glossy paint-finished Wellness Room
are pampered with refined, ionised air, relaxing Shiatsu massage and by the light, colour, sounds and scent.
The round, organic forms of "takespace" impart a feeling of harmony and security, while the comfortable massage
chair begins to pulsate, knead and stimulate according to the program chosen. An Air-Wash air conditioner
cleanses and enriches the air with Ions. The outcome is an air quality otherwise only attainable from a day at
the seaside or in the mountains. A curved wall of light provides suitable colour harmonies via LED pulse
contact control. An aroma-machine dispenses a choice of scents inside the "takespace" and a Dolby Surround
System transmits pleasant and relaxing sounds.

"seven-sushi" Eyecatcher on Lake Maggiore, Ascona [may 2008]
Following on from seven and seven-easy, the smaller than 30m? seven-sushi restaurant in Ascona came into
being in spring 2008. Layers of white Norenn fans hung on the ceiling are juxtaposed with a sea of soft-white
paper lanterns of varying size, fill the entire space and impart a pleasant feeling of airy floatiness to the
guest.

Completion of the Eurogress Foyer, Aachen [03.10.2007]
After the large concert hall (Europasaal), the Reception area and façade, the Foyer has now been newly
designed and renovated within the framework of the modernisation master plan for Eurogress. The outer skin of
the Europasaal is now covered with a deep red, shiny, glass cladding which brings to mind the prow of a ship.
This dynamic motif guides the visitor along the length of its curves, into the Europasaal.

Completion of the Interboden Foyer, Ratingen [august 2007]
The two-storey Entrance Hall in the Interboden Group Headquarters has been given a new, bright and friendly
face. Jura limestone is combined with Zebrano wood and deep red glass. Specially made for the space, a
six-meter high, vibrant green wall creates, in addition to the new glass façade, an exciting contrast between
design and nature.

"seven-easy" a further gastronomical highlight, Ascona
[august 2007]
We are pleased to have been given the opportunity to provide the design concept for the first branch of the
seven restaurants. At the opposite end of the square in Ascona, seven-easy offers a fusion of Italian cooking
and Ticino specialities. The concept leans towards that of its older sister seven, but as the name suggests, is
more relaxed and down-to-earth.

Glittering Mask for Eurogress, Aachen [december 2006]
A screen fabricated from stainless-steel spirals was installed in front of the 80-metre long
functional-style façade of the 1970's building. Shaped in a concave like a parabolic mirror, it distorts the
view to the inside but retains a connection with the nature on the outside through the filtering-in of falling
sunlight. In the future, the metal mesh will be animated further with a series of changing light and colour
effects and varied projections.
