InterContinental, Berlin
For this hotel with a listed facade, the south wing was completely reconfigured into rooms, suites and an
Executive Lounge.
For the design of the rooms we took a new direction, in that we developed a swivelling, ceiling-high cube
containing an integral minibar, TV and towel storage space. With the cube it is possible to separate the
bathroom from the bedroom, or to turn it round towards the room to create a new impression of the space.
Dark, warm earthy tones dominate the colour scheme, which exudes elegance and at the same time generates an
inviting atmosphere. This is further emphasized through the use of high quality wood and materials such as
leather, mosaics and wickerwork.
