The legendary Waldorf-Astoria in New York City is a synonym for elegance, style and luxury.

The new Waldorf-Astoria flagship hotel in Berlin will fit this aspiration exactly in a modern and appropriate manner and become the benchmark for future Waldorf-Astoria hotels. Therefore we have taken certain style-defining elements, such as the chandeliers and barrel-vaulted ceilings of the original hotel in New York and interpreted them in a modern way. We designed quirky, classical elements such as a wall covered in oversized Chesterfield upholstery, and enlarged sections of a frame for the Reception desk, in order to connect modern and distinctive elements with an exclusive design language. Generous spaces and fine materials emphasize the high standards of the Waldorf-Astoria. Warm-hued wood is used, as well as soft leather and polished marble, to appropriately match the exclusive aspirations of the guest.
